Uplifting story for horse and animal lovers!

My six year old daughter and I loved this story. Snowflake is a rescued horse who has had a hard life. The girls work to earn money to buy Snowflake a blanket for the winter. The story is uplifting without being sad. It teaches both kindness and hard work. We enjoyed all four of the Stablemates books, but Snowflake was our favorite - highly recommended.

Great Book

I love these books, we bought the entire set. They are perfect for my almost six year old who can read at a 4th grade level, the stories are great as are the pictures. I would say this is a great book for a 3-4th grade reader.

Really good book for young horse lovers

I like all of the Breyer Stablemate books, so it is no surprise that Snowflake was a winner. This book is a great way to introduce chapters. The chapters are short and the book is longer than an easy reader, but not too long that the reader will lose interest.
Snowflake is a horse that was left behind by her owners then rescued. The girls team up to help with Snowflake's care and find a way to buy him a blanket. I really like that these books not only teach about different types and breeds of horses, but also convey some life lessons, such as defining the problem, working together to solve a problem, and putting in hard work while still having some fun.
