Love it.

This hippo and tortoise friendship story is cute, period. My two little boys and my little daughter all loved it. Yes, it's simple. But consider the audience, geez Louise! I read this book to my son, Luke, when he was 7, 8 months old until he was about 1 year. Same with my other two toddlers. We have a 3,2, and 1 year old. All loved this book. I like that it's simple for infants and transitioning toddlers.
I also bought the other Owen and Mzee book....they loved that one, too. This is an enchanting, cute story. It's worth buying.

a story about friendship

This book is really sweet. The photos are pretty and the story is easy for young children to follow. I also like the original book with a more in-depth story. I wonder how Mzee & Owen are doing now?
